The story

Plaza Izalco is a family business founded by Juan Ventura, with more than 25 years of experience in the distribution of wellness products in the United States. With roots in San Miguel, El Salvador, it was born with the purpose of connecting Hispanic communities with products that reflect their culture, traditions and well-being.

 

It all started in 1990 with small supermarkets, evolving over time towards the distribution of nostalgic products from Latin America, initially operating from his own home. Today, with offices in Virginia and California, Plaza Izalco continues to grow, bringing quality, trust, and its roots to every business it serves.

The name Plaza Izalco was created as a tribute to the company's Salvadoran roots and to one of the country's most representative symbols: the Izalco Volcano, historically known as the "Lighthouse of the Pacific".

 

This national icon inspires identity, pride, and a connection to history. From its inception, the name has sought to convey a sense of closeness and belonging. Thus, it becomes a solid foundation for building a meaningful brand.

 

For Juan Ventura, its founder, this volcano was more than a symbol; it was a constant presence in his daily life. During his years as a truck driver, he traveled long routes always accompanied by the sight of the volcano.

 

Inspired by that experience, he decided to name his company Plaza Izalco, reflecting the values that guided him from the beginning. Hard work, perseverance, and a clear vision for growth are integral to his identity.

 

Today, the name represents more than a place; it's a commitment to its origins. It also symbolizes a reliable guide for connecting quality products with growing businesses.
